Organizing your holiday takes a lot of time, especially for an island like Karimunjawa… What are you supposed to do on a tropical island? That is where we come in to help, check out the Comfort Island Expedition package, one of our most adventures trips experienced by our former guests.

The Comfort Island Expedition package is a very popular camping package that our guest love to experience. Perfect for guests who don’t have a lot of time but really want to enjoy the archipelago and have a unique experience.

What to Prepare?

For your trip, we recommend bringing the following.


  • A towel & dry clothing.

  • Reusable water bottle & snacks for in between swimming.

  • A shirt to swim in.

  • Some money to buy a drink/snack and to tip your guide/crew.

  • Sunscreen (high factor and reef-safe recommended).


Additionally for camping don’t forget

  • Warm clothes for the night.

  • Mosquito spray or lotion.

  • Other necessary toiletries and fresh pair of clothes/swimwear.

  • Some soap to rinse of when fresh water is available.

  • Little pillow/blanket if preferred (can be added to the package).

  • Additional drinks, food or snacks (can be added to the package).


To be considerate of the citizens of Karimunjawa, we urge you to wear clothes that cover your body before and after the tour. Please don’t walk through the village in only swimwear. Besides that, we encourage our guest to wear a shirt while snorkeling over the reef, not only to protect your own skin, but also to reduce the amount of sunscreen in the water as this is proven to be extremely harmful for the reef.

DAY I

  • Meeting at Warung BU BAMBANG in the Jepara Kartini harbour one hour before departure of the boat to receive your boat tickets.

  • Fast boat Bahari Express from Jepara to Karimunjawa, this will take around two to two and a half hours.

  • Welcomed in the Karimunjawa harbour by our team and pick-up by car to transfer you to your lunch.

  • A local lunch served at Bukit Love viewing point, moment to settle down and enjoy the view.

  • Stop at the Basa-basi office to freshen up, prepare your camping bag and store you luggage in our locker.

  • Transfer by car to the dock to leave on your camping trip and half day of snorkeling. An example of how the afternoon could look.

    • West side

      • Snorkeling at Gosong Cemara island

      • Mooring at Cemara Besar island enjoy the afternoon and the sunset while the crew helps you settle in. They will leave around 17:00.



    • East side

      • Snorkeling at Cilik island

      • Mooring at Cilik island enjoy the afternoon and the sunset while the crew helps you settle in. They will leave around 17:00.



    • Enjoy the rest of your night star gazing, chatting around the bonfire and preparing yourself some dinner.

    • DAY II

  • At 09:30 our team will be back to pick you up. They will help you with getting the luggage back to the boat.

  • A whole day on the water snorkeling either on the west side or on the east side, depending on where you camped and the weather conditions. An example of how the day could look.

      • Lunch at Geleang Island

      • Snorkeling at Gosong Cemara

      • Sunset at Cemara Kecil Island

      • Arrival back a Karimunjawa dock



    • East side

      • Visiting Gosong Sloka

      • Back in the harbour either in the afternoon or at sunset time, depending on your personal preference. Our team will bring you to your accommodation and bring your luggage with them.

      • A motor bike is ready for you after you freshened up. Explore town, go for dinner or buy some souvenirs. You got the rest of your night to yourself.

    • DAY III

  • Half an hour before the boat departures, we will pick you up by car to bring you back to the harbour in Karimunjawa. There you will receive your ticket and our team will help you boarding the boat.

  • Fast boat Bahari Express from Karimunjawa to Jepara, this will take around two to two and a half hours.

  • Back in the Jepara Kartini harbour, if you booked transport with us the driver will be waiting for you with the Karimunjawa Package sign. We wish you a very safe a pleasant journey back home.

    • INCLUDED
    • A night camping on a deserted island and a second night at a guesthouse with air-conditioning and breakfast.
    • Retour trip with the Bahari Express fast boat in executive class.
    • Pick-up and drop off from the harbour after arrival from Jepara and before departure back to Jepara. Additional, a car transfer to and from the camping-snorkeling trip.
    • Motor bike rental for the second afternoon and night to drive around the town (one bike for two people).
    • A half day of snorkeling and chilling on an island, and a full day of snorkeling during a private snorkeling trip.
    • Lunch on arrival at Bukit Love with a island view.
    • All harbour, tourism and national park taxes (Indonesian weekend rate, please see additional cost for foreigners without a Kitas/Itas).

    PACKAGE PRICE?
    Our Comfort Island Expedition package price is a price per person, however the price is based on a minimum of two people. This because, a package for one person is more expensive as you do not get to share the cost of most of our travel services with a travel buddy. Please contact us if you would like to travel alone and want more information about that. If you want to book for more then 2 people, indicate this in the booking form on the left and the price per person will automatically decrease. If you want to book for more than 10 people or are looking for a cheaper camping option without a private snorkeling tour, please also contact our agency so that we can offer you a custom price.

    WHAT IS PRIVATE SNORKELING & CAMPING TRIP?


    Are you looking for a unique experience? Then the Island Expedition trip is made for you. The trip is a combination between camping and exploring the Karimunjawa archipelago waters. Made for people who like to spend more time out on the water than on the main island. You will have some time to explore the main island and town, but the main focus of the trip is on the water and over the reefs. Some may say it is the experience of a lifetime.

    Stay on an island in the middle of the sea, where you can only find white sand, palm trees, blue water, and beautiful stars. Combined with 1,5 days of private snorkeling. One spot on day one and a great variety of beautiful snorkeling spots (often two spots), visit to another small paradise islands with bounty white beaches and more memorable sights like a sandbank or a turtle sanctuary on day two. Either on the west side or the east side, depending on the weather conditions.

    Great your own day and spend the time with a private group of family and friends. You decide where we go, when we move to the next location and when we are going home. Obviously, our team will give the necessary notes so that we can realize a safe and beautiful day for our guests. We provided basic camping gear and the necessary food supplies; however, we won’t stop you if you prefer to sleep under the stars. Discover Karimunjawa the adventures way.

    WHAT IS FOR LUNCH?


    The snorkeling trip includes a barbecue on the beach during which the crew will prepare and serve fresh fish, vegetables, rice, egg/tempe/tofu, traditional crackers (Krupuk), water and fruit.

    The lunch on arrival will be at Bukit Love Karimunjawa. Depending on their availability your lunch will be an Indonesian dish like Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Ayam Geprek or something else available.

    Dinner and breakfast during the camping trip will be relatively easy as you have to prepare it yourself with the limited sources. However, if you like to add a breakfast service or barbecue to your package, this is of course possible.

    If you are vegetarian please inform us, so we can offer you a different menu.
